What kind of noises do rats make?

Rats are sneaky little animals. They make a few different noises, it really depends on what they are doing. Often just walking and scurrying around they make a scratching noise because of the claws on their feet. But they also make a squeaking noise that can be high pitched but can also be a lower squeak.

The sound called brux.They do this when they are happy.Bruxing is a grinding sound they make when they're grinding their teeth.

Rats, like other rodents, produce a variety of sounds depending on the situation they are in. In general they squeak, chirp, scrabble and shriek.
