German chocolate cake requires a specific kind of icing. It is a mixture of coconut and pecans for the nut lovers out there! An old family's recipie is as followed: 3/4 C. of evaporated milk, 1/2 C. of light brown sugar, 1/2 C. of granulated sugar (thats the white sugar), 1/2 C. of butter, and 1 tsp. of vanilla.
