A basic vanilla cake:1 1/2 sticks of butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 3 cups flour, 3 eggs, 1 cup of milk, 1 tbs of vanilla extract Mix butter and sugar in bowl. Next mix in flour and eggs. Add vanilla and milk. Mix until smooth. Cook in 2 cake pans at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool and decorate.

Well if you want to make it get the recipe from any website. But the point is make sure you use buttermilk to make it moist. If you add some creme into it, it will taste good.

I am not being sarcastic, please read untill the end: Buy Pillsbury French Vanilla cake, you have to follow the directions on the back of the box EXCEPT always undercook the cake by about 5 minutes less than the box suggest and it will turn out moist and perfect!
