Dory from Finding Nemo is a Blue Tang or Palette Surgeonfish. They are only blue when they reach maturity and live in coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific ocean. Their diet is mostly compromised of zooplankton.

Dory is a Regal Blue Tang, Paracanthurus Hepatus of the family Acanthuridae. Babies eat plankton, but adults are omnivores and will also graze on algae. Primarily this is a bait fish (sorry!)but are popular for the aquarium trade- you can be badly cut by the caudal spine, or thrashing of the tail, posing a risk of infection.

Dory was a blue Regal Tang (Paracanthurus hepatus). This fish is popular in aquariums; in the wild it lives in reefs around the Indian and Pacific Oceans, including East Africa, New Caledonia, Samoa, Japan, and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The regal tang has a sharp caudal spine (on the lower part of its body) for protection against predators.
