Velvet ants come in a variety of colors from yellow to red. They are actually wasps and have quite a sting. They are searching for bee and wasp nest. The males have wings like a normal wasp.

All ants can bites but mostly the Yellow ants are aggressive not like the Black ants. Black ants bites only just to protect themselves.
