Having lovers in the workplace interfere with office politic. If they are your superior they are less likely to get rid of you or reprimand you. It also brings a lot of animosity from your co workers. It's best to ask for a tranfer to another department. keep work and play separate.

The two major issues would be conflict of interest between the two, and not enough time being spent on doing work assigned, but rather on flirthing and using work time for personal time.
