There are several treatment options. Radiation is most often used for very early stages. Surgery may include removing teeth as well as the tumor. The other option is chemo.

Treatment will vary depending on the size and location of the tumor. The first option is surgery where a doctor would remove the tumor and a small area surrounding it. Radiation is another option and is highly effective for smaller tumors that aren't spreading. Finally chemotherapy is another treatment and is helpful for large tumors that have spread.

Removal of the tumor by a surgeon and replacing of the gum tissue with other tissue from inside of your mouth. Depending on the severity or if it has spread further treatment with chemotherapy and radiology to prevent further spread. Also medications might have to be taken to deal with the pain

Your treatment will be determined by the type of tumor you found in your gums. Treatment may include medicated injections or topical steroids. Surgery and radiation or chemotherapy may be required. Your dentist, oncology or otolaryngology doctor will be able to determine what is the best treatment plan for you.
