What is the treatment for a newborn with diarrhea?

I am not breastfeeding.

Call your pediatrician. Need to make sure they are getting plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. After each large diarrhea stool supplement with Pedialyte 2 ounces.

I recommend taking the infant to a doctor for advice.I recommend plenty of water to keep the infant hydrated. Ok it with your doctor about maybe switching formulas.

This is something you need to call your doctor about. Infants main source of nutrition is milk so when they have diarrhea they can dehydrate MUCH quicker than adults.

If you feed baby another type of milk then it stop totaly because of milk diarrhea aggrevated by milk.If condition of baby worsen then addmition in hospital give some antidiarrheal medicine with IV fluids
