It depends on your skill, experience and expertise. In the beginning, it could be as little as US$1-$3 for a 150-200 word article. It is that low because there are many people with rudimentary English writing skills outside first world countries who are more than willing to work for that pay. However, with some experience and expert references, US$5-$12/article.

Short 200 word articles with references are about $7. 400 word pieces with references are $10-15. Without expert references, pay rates are half that.
