The life span of the Pom is typically 13 to 15 years, although if well cared for and lucky, they can live to be 20, or more. Their diminuitive size and vivacious personality make them great companions.

A Pom that is healthy and kept that way with regular veterinarian checkups and a consistent, healthy diet can live more than 15 years. Smaller dogs have a longer lifespan, especially when they are properly cared for in a safe, loving environment.

Pomeranian dog has an average life span of 12 years. They can live a long healthy life with regular activity, healthy diet, immunizations, playmate or lots of love from their owner. Keeping a Pomeranian healthy is not that difficult. They should be de-sexed to reduce the risk of cancer and that too will increase the life span.

Smaller dogs always have a longer life expectancy. Pomeranians live for about 12-16 years but if they are taken care of exceptionally well they can live for around 20 years.

People seem to think that small dogs have short life spans. It depends on how well it is treated as to how long it will live
