Training gets everybody on the same page at the same time. It eliminates a lot of misunderstandings as well as questions about new policies and procedures.

Training can be used for a variety of reasons - it is important to increase the awareness of employees about certain issues (such as learning about the work environment), and also to provide employees an opportunity to learn new skills and grow and develop their abilities, thus making them more marketable.
