Two very good products that help gums of babies (and adults) is Rejuv for Gums and Anbesol - baby oral anesthetic gel. Also, with clean fingers rubbing the gums can ease a baby's discomfort as will a cool teething ring (they can do their own rubbing).

There are many over the counter gels for infants who are teething. There are special toys that can be frozen for the baby to chew on also.

First try to cool the gum by e.g. giving to drink pre-boiled cold water or chilled food to chew. Sometimes massaging the gum carefully with clean fingers gives some relief from the pain. Try out teething teas made for babies. For severe pain use teething gel.

Go buy her some infant Tylenol or Motrin. I've heard that rum or gin can be rubbed on the gums and it will help.

Teething gels will commonly make the gum lining thicker, so don't use them. A plastic teething toy, non liquid filled, in the freezer for a while, and then let the baby chew on it. The cold will help with the irritation and pain from teething.

Try the orajel for babys, Motrin is also good, put a cold washcloth in the freezer and let it freeze, and let the baby naw on it.
