Any time there is an incision in the skin, there is a chance of irritation. The body's natural defensive mechanism is to cause inflammation at the site of the incision to prevent bacteria from entering.

I hope you meant uretal stent removal. It does not cause pain on removal but, there may be slight swelling after removal. As for irritation, it is common for a few days.

After anything is going to be removed from your body there is going to be some sort of irritation that will take time to get better.
