What is the best inexpensive old slr camera for me to buy?

When buying an old SLR camera, many brands come to mind that are excellent. First Nikkon and Cannon both made very good SLR cameras. Both companies are still out there in full force so you can tell that they made a high quality product and still do.

By old, do you mean film or old digital? If film, concentrate on a good camera body like Nikon, Pentax, or Canon. Pick a professional model rather than a low end comsumer grade model. Mechanical parts wear out, so get a quality brand with limited external wear. For digital, pick an older Nikon or Canon brand.

Look for a Minolta SLR. The 7000 series can purchased had on eBay for less than 30 dollars. Highly recommended!
