The cheapest cameras on the market are cheap for a reason. It's better to spend a little bit more money and get a lot more quality. You can get an entry level cannon for just over $100 that would be decent.

There are many brands that offer cheaper, pocket sized point and shoot cameras. Nikon, Kodak, and Fuji are reputable camera makers that offer these small digital point and shoot cameras for a little over one hundred dollars. You can purchase a pretty nice point and shoot with a lot of megapixels for around that price.
