How do Olympus cameras compare to other top brands?

If you decide to by an Olympus SLR, you get very good value for your money. But make sure not to get to kit lenses, but the more expensive alternatives. If you are interested in making portraits you definetely should consider the 50mm lens. The quality is absolutety amazing. With other brands you have to pay more for this quality.

Olympus sits in the middle of the pack. It is great for the amautuer photographer. Nikon or Canon would be better options in my opinion. Both have interchangeable lenses, faster shutter speeds, and faster processors.
