In my opinion Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the best action game because it has a beautiful campaign and a verry competitive multiplayer. Its a little expensive but it worth all the money because of the fun it provides when you play it. I am playing it daily :P

Some of the most popular and fun action games are Grand Theft Auto Series, Max Payne, Call of Duty Series, Uncharted 2, Gears of War, Quake Series, God of War series, Devil May Cry series, Duke Nukem series and Syphon Filter Series.

Action games provide such a great variety that many people have more than one favorite. The Call o Duty series provides some very fun action. They are first person style shooter games. They simulate many of the famous battles of world war two and the korean war. They are very easy to locate as well.

Unreal Tournament G.O.T.Y Edition, or the "Old UT" as I call it. Unreal tournament has many versions, but the oldest one was also the best - many characters, many maps, great challenge, adjustable AI. Definitely recommendable.
