A Federal assistance program for low income people to help with the payment of rent on a residence. If you qualify for this program you will pay about 30 percent of your rent and the government pays the remainder.

Section 8 housing is a government program that subsizes the rent paid for a dwelling. You have to get qualified to get it and the amount depends on the number in the family, the family income and the size of the rental unit. The landlord has to agree to it.
