Starting an art business is the same as any other business as you need a business plan and the necessary capital to get it started. Most businesses do not make any profits for at least the first year so you will need funds to handle your personal expenses.

When starting an Art business there are a few things that you have to consider first :what product do you intend to sell? Choose the right location. Is there a need for your product or service in this area. How much money are you going to imvest?

Find some artists and find some space to rent. Have artists sign contracts giving you the exclusive right to sell in your town. Put up the artists work for sale, advertise and network with possible customers. File taxes like a business. Keep records, pay sales tax and get business licenses.
