The best place to start an import/export business is your local government office dealing with trade. Specific criteria and risks are current and up to date.

Try going to the Czech Consulate in your (or a nearby large) city. The consul's job is to promote business for his country. He or she will do everything possible to enable you to do business with them, and will connect you with the government agencies or businesses in the Republic that you will need to deal with.
