AC is NOT something you can do at home! The refrigerant that is in the system can be harmful. After replacing the condenser, the system requires procedures to fill it.

The condenser itself is easy to replace without any specialized tool. Unfortunately it is technically illegal to do this as the process means you have to purge the system and refill it afterwords which can only be done with a specialized purging machine.

The condenser on most Jeep's just screw on and off. It is located on a valve near the AC filter. You may need to use WD-40 on an old Jeep.

It's not that hard. Remove any refrigerant. Remove all AC hose connection. Remove and replace AC condenser. Reattach AC hoses. Refill system. Check for leaks.
