If you have the 4.0 straight six cylinder engine ,the crank position sensor is located in the transmission bell housing. It is directly behind the rear of the valve cover, disconnection electrical connector going to it .Unbolt it and remove with a twisting motion.

You are going to need to go to the right side of the motor and find the crank sensor. Once you have located it you are going to need to pull the wire out and then you can unbolt it from the motor and reinstall the new one.

Depending on the engine you have, the crank sensor is located on the back driver's side botom of the engine on an inline 4 liter engine. You pull off the wire lead and with a socket, unscrew the sensor. Then replace with a new one.
