Methodist doctrine states that in a perfect world, there would be no divorce, but that due to our imperfect human nature, divorce is an acceptable solution.

Perhaps you should consider your well being before your religion's rules. If you are in a situation that is damaging to you mentally, physically or financially you need to get help and get that stopped. It seems likely that God will understand no matter what the minister tells you. Good Luck.

The Methodist doctrine does allow divorce but strongly discourages it. Although it is legal, it is also considered a sin in the eyes of Methodist. If you get a divorce, it is frowned upon to get remarried, especially in a Methodist church. Forgiveness can be granted through repentance and confession.

The methodist doctrine states that no divorce, except for adultery can and will be regarded by the Church as lawful. It's simple you guys don't understand each other sorry about that.
