Cut a heart out of red paper, an oval out of yellow and 2 small circles from blue. Paste the two circles behind the yellow oval to form the bee wings. Then using a black marker(washable for youngsters) add stripes and and a face to your bee. Glue the bee to the heart and write "BEE MINE" on it.

Well, first off you can have kids make valentine cards for their friends or family. They can use construction paper, glitter, glue, and crayons/markers. Also they could then use a shoe box to make themselves a decorated "mailbox" to receive their cards in.

I like to make valentine candy jars that look like gum ball machines. You will need one small flower pot, one glass bowl, paint, candy and stickers.. Turn the flower pot upside down and glue the bowl to it. Paint the flower pot and decorate. Add candy to bowl and use saucer that came with flower pot for top.

Have the child make cards. Have them fold a paper in half, then cut half a heart. When they open up the paper they will have a full heart to write in.
