A service panel upgrade is when an electrician comes in and removes your old panel box and wires out to the meter and replaces it with a new panel and wires. Usually an upgrade may be from an old push o matic or screw in fuse style box.

It is when the load center and meter is increased in amperage and / or space. It allows more current to enter the home or business. It is common to perform an upgrade when converting from gas to electric appliances,when adding an addition, or when adding circuits to an older home.

It's your main electrical panel being changed out to a panel that can carry a larger load of amps. Upgrades are needed when your panel is maxed out on amps.

when the service panel is of 100 amp we can upgrade the panel to 150 amps depending on the usage of the electrical components in our home.
