The benifits would be an increase in amperage for such items as appliances, air handlers, electric water heaters, and like items. If you are upgrading any large electrical items or increasing the size of your home it would be advantageous to upgrade your electrical service as well.

There are many advantages. First off, it adds value to your home. A 200 amp service is actually cheaper to operate.

If you would like to upgrade this type of amp it would end up saving you money. Even tho it is bigger it would provide you with time saving energy.
