A good cardio workout regime should contain many forms of movement. It should include any motions that keep your heart rate elevated. Try running, jump roping, jumping jacks, push ups, and sit ups.

The best thing to do is do is to switch up your routine a lot so your body doesn't adjust to just one thing. So one day you power walk, another day you use an elliptical machine, another day you play a sport or game that gets you sweating, etc. That way you also use different muscles.

HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training - will improve your cardiovascular system more than LSD (Long Slow Distances). HIIT works like this: Run all out (sprint) for 10 - 15 seconds, walk for 10-15 seconds. Repeat for 10 to 20 minutes (start with 10, work up to 20 over time).

I would recommend jogging for about 3 kilometres, walking approximately 2 kilometres, and then getting on the bike for approximately 2 kilometres.
