What is a good body building routine for a young male?

I would like to have a rocking body.

If you are looking to increase muscular size - moderate-to-heavy loads, moderate-to-high repetitions and short rest periods between multiple sets are recommended. There are different protocols if you are wanting to focus on endurance or strength. Muscles need to be challenged in order to grow. Consistency with routine is important!

The best routine, for someone who is still young, is Mark Rippetoe's "Starting Strength". After 2 to 3 months on that routine, you can find something more advanced.

A young male should focus on a well rounded workout program that includes light lifting and and a lot of aerobic exercise such as running. They can also supplement their diet with extra protein to build more muscles.

If you have a lean build you will not need cardio. Increase your protein intake and start with lift weight lighting and ab work.

Eat a large amount of protein and follow a consistent workout routine. Don't over-exert yourself, and keep the workout within reason. Use cardiovascular exercises as well to reduce fat buildup.
