Manhattan is very well equipped to deal with disabled visitors; you should first check with the hotel you are staying at- they should be able to provide you with plenty of help. Also,if you go on any tours, you should check ahead and let them know your situation. The city's public transportation is also equipped for disabled riders.

New York City is a big and populated city and there are plenty of accomdations for the disabled. There is priority disabled seating in all public transportations, just contact the bus driver or train conducter located in the middle train. I'd suggest visiting The Empire State Building or maybe visit Central Park.

Public buses are the best and least expensive way to travel around Manhattan. Make sure you have a map, down-loadable from the MTA website, ahead of time to plan accordingly.
