What happens when you are convicted of a misdemeanor?

I got in a little bit of trouble with the law, but I don't really know the consequences of a misdemeanor.

This will vary somewhat depending on the specific laws of your area and the exact nature of the crime you committed, but most misdemeanors are not that serious, especially if it is your first offense. You worst part will likely be the legal fees, court costs, and the fiscal hit you might take. Jail time is not likely.

You have to serve the sentence that the judge gave you. Also, you now have a criminal record, which will read that it is a misdemeanor but still cause trouble.

Well it all depends on what you got it for.If its your fist offense you may only have to pay a fine, nothing too serious. If your over the age of 18 you are now going to have a criminal record. If your under the age of 18 your fine. thanks!
