You should talk to your doctor before taking any drugs while pregnant. You may have a different reaction to them and many different types of medicine can be bad on the baby. Always talk to your doctor before you take any drugs or medication.

The only type of medication that might possibly produce a false positive result are drugs such as fertity medication, that contains the hormone hcg. Now, there are some ovarian cysts that can produce small amounts of hcg. It's best to consult your doctor if pregnancy is suspected!

Any synthetic female hormones can cause false positive pregnancy results. High levels of Premarin or over the counter emergency contraception can also affect the results.

Certain types of HCG medications (like Pregny), but I've had a false positive just before I was about to start my cycle. The hormones "confused" the test.

Very few drugs interact with pregnancy tests but steroids are known to affect them. If you are taking medications you may visit your doctor to test.

No drugs create false positive pregnancy results, since they test for hCG, which is only produced by a woman's body during pregnancy. However, for several weeks after birth of a child, an abortion or miscarriage, that hormone will be present in the body at high enough levels to register as a pregnancy.

Pregnancy tests measure the amount of HCG in blood or urine. So, any drug that contains HCG will give a false positive result. An example of this would be ovidril or an HCG trigger used to induce ovulation.
