Lexapro will not cause a false positive on a pregnancy test. If you are taking Lexapro and think you may be pregnant, you should contact your doctor immediately.

No, Lexapro will not affect a pregnancy test. A urine pregnancy test only tests for the presence of a hormone called HcG in your urine. If the hormone is detected there, you're pregnant. Lexapro would not put this hormone in your urine. Lexapro does not contain HcG. See your doctor soon because you are pregnant!

Lexapro is an antidepressant that should not affect a pregnancy test, but you should consult a doctor if you get pregnant while taking lexapro, as it could harm the fetus.

Lexapro should not result in you obtaining a false positive as it has no effect on the HCG hormone that is used to detecet a pregnancy. Therefore if you received a positive result and you took the test according to the directions on the package you should feel confident in the fact that you are pregnant.
