The larger the polyp the more chances it could have turned into cancer. Smaller polyps are benign but can turn cancerous. Regular colonoscopies are recommend and keep cancer from forming since this is a slow type of cancer and can take years to form. This is deadly if not treated.

The aggregate size gives a rough estimate on the initial size of a polyp. The initial size of a polyp in return is one important criteria that determines the risk of a polyp having potential risks to be cancerous. For example, a polyp in the colon measuring more than 1 cm has a slight risk of having dysplastic changes.

This is just the medical term for the size of the polyps. You want to catch polyps early so the smaller the better.

The size of the polyp is not directly related to its propensity to become malignant or remain benign. It is thought that larger polyps may have a greater chance of becoming malignant since they have more cells. The only thing important is the type of polyp, not the size.
