Zero tolerance means that a particular behavior will not be tolerated at all, and will result in immediate termination for an employee. Zero tolerance policies usually apply to sexual harassment or racist or sexist remarks or comments.

"Zero tolerance" means that employees are expected to be aware of, and to follow, all company policies and procedures. A company enacting "zero tolerance" is likely to retain the right to terminate an employee's employment after only one violation of a policy or procedure, without a warning or probationary period. You should ask your HR department for clarification.

Zero tolerance in the workplace normally refers a company's policy towards sexual harassment. The company is trying to take a hard line, telling employees no harassment will be tolerated.
