it compresses the air before it reaches the engine thus creating more boom when it sparks because oxygen is an accelerator.

A turbocharger mechanically forces air into an engine's combustion chamber at a greater velocity than would normally be the case, giving the engine greater horsepower. A turbocharger uses either a fan belt from the engine itself or exhaust gas to drive the turbine, giving this charged effect to the combustion chamber.

A turbocharger takes the exhaust gases of a car's engine and uses them to power turbines that force air into the engine. In other words, at a/certain/speed/that/it's/designed/to kick/in, your/car/will experience/a/surge/of/power.

A turbocharger aids the internal combustion of an engine. It literally compresses gas and is also used to increase the density of air in order to boost the engine power.

There is an impeller being spun by exhaust gases causing an impeller on the intake side to move air. Power improves since more air allows more fuel to be burnt.
