I find that adding cider vinegar, red wine and boiling water has worked well for me in the past. Put it in a bucket and slosh around the area that needs treating

A simple solution of water and vinegar should do the trick. Use on 2 parts water to 1 part vinegar in a spray bottle to keep the pests away.
