How can I make my own holiday paper?

I like homemade things.

You will need a roll of plain white craft paper, acrylic paint, and sponges. Cut the sponges into holiday shapes, you can use cookie cutters as templates. Dip the sponges into the paint and apply to the craft paper. You can add details with a small paintbrush, or sprinkle with glitter, if desired. Allow to dry completely before use.

Use plain newsprint. Dip holiday shaped cookie cutters in paint. Transfer shape to paper. Let dry. Decorate with glitter glue.

Try using a newspaper page of comics for a cheap, colourful wrap. Homemade paper is often thick and bland- not really what you want for gift wrap, but you could always make cards out of it instead.
