Blueberries require a very acidic soil to grow. Test your field to ensure it's between about 4 to 4.5 pH. It will also require organic matter, around 5%.

I took some seeds and kept them moist in a towel until they germinated. Once germinated I put them in starter pots until they got about 6 inches in height.

As with all seedlings they will fair better in a protected environment to begin with, a small countertop greenhouse can be made and put on your deck to get them started, good luck nothing is more exciting them growing something from a seedling.
