Cats can get away with death defying feats. After all, they have nine lives. Keeping your cat indoors at all times helps longevity immensely. This is the single most important thing. Cat proofing the indoors helps, too. Put cords away as much as possible. Don't let your cat eat or drink harmful substances. Watch your cat. Talk to your cat.

You can start by eliminating extra temptations such as high places the cat can jump from. Otherwise your cat might just be wanting some extra attention, play time, or love.
