You may not be getting enough circulation in your feet. When they go numb rub them to get the blood flowing again and slowly start to walk on them. Don't wear shoes that are to small or tight fitting socks.

The most common cause for numbness in the toes is poor blood circulation. It may also be caused by diabetic neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, frostbite, leprosy, cervical spondylosis or Guillaine-Barre syndrome.

Toe numbness can be a result of neuropathy, nerve damage or even frost bite. If you've not injured your toe and the numbness continues for over a week, it would be a good idea to be seen by your primary care doctor. A simple, and often overlooked cause of toe numbness can also be shoes that no longer fit properly.
