What could be wrong with my dogs health if he has blood coming from his urethra?

An injury or trauma can cause bleeding. if this is not the case you must check for a calculus or urethral (urinary) stone. if both these are ruled out you must look for cancer/tumours in the bladder or kidney and also rule out a blood disorder causing abnormal bleeding.

You should take him to a vet. My dog had also peed blood. She had stones in her bladder. There was no operation needed just specialized dog food.

It sounds as if the dog either has an infection, or possibly kidney stones. My advice is to take your dog to the vet immediately. If it were a male and it blocked up and was unable to urinate, it could lead to uremic poisoning and would be fatal within a matter of hours. Get your dog to a vet!
