What happens if you receive the wrong blood?

My cousin thinks he received the wrong blood.

You can get very sick and even die. The wrong blood type can make your blood clump and give you real problems.

At the outset your cousin might not have received wrong blood as he thinks. The moment a person receives a wrong blood he or she will develop severe allergic reactions. These anaphylatic shocks can sometimes be even fatal. Basic concept is that our defence mechanism will not accept anything which is not acceptable to our body

If one would receive the wrong blood type there would be a serious reaction. Hospitals have safeguards in place to prevent errors. Some people can receive reactions despite correct typing.

Receiving the wrong blood type is very serious and deadly. This could result in a serious, life-threatening reaction. One of these reactions is a hemolytic reaction, which destroys red blood cells and will kill the patient. The body will recognize the blood as a foreign object, which is an antigen-antibody reaction. This can lead to blood clotting.

It all depends on what type of blood was given, if there is going to be an reaction it would happen within 15minutes of recieveing the blood.
