A swollen eye lid may be due to a disturbed sleep or disturbance due to over work like constant usage of computers or TV's etc.

It could be an allergic reaction to the environment of it also could be a bug bite. Also there are specific infections that can cause this.

there are a few reasons eye lids will swell, physical trauma, or Conjunctivitis, which is contracted from Smoke from Burning Styrofoam and Raw Chicken coming into contact with the eyes.
