Question by  worker37 (19)

What could be causing me to blow the battery fuse in my CRX over and over?

I have replaced the fuse for my battery twice in the past week, I would like to know what is causing this problem so I can fix it.

It sounds as if you have a short possibly in the battery terminals. Take your car to an auto store like Autozone and ask them if they can run a test on the cables to see if they need to be replaced. Most auto shops will do this free.

Something is calling for power from the battery, and it is more power than that fuse can handle. Trace it and see if it's ok to use a bigger fuse.

It sounds like you have a short in the system. Not knowing which fuse is blowing I can't tell you where to look exactly.

See if the fuse you replaced is the same recommended capacity. It is color coded. Depending on the capacity. There is also a possibility of a ground (short circuit).
