What could be causing my gas cage fuse to blow every couple of miles?

I want to know why the gas pump fuse goes bad every couple of miles. Can someone let me know?

Very little can cause this. It is an electrical short between the pump and the wiring harness. Follow the wires from the pump to the harness searching for a damaged wire. You will need to repair the wire or install a new sending unit.

Three possible reasons for the fuel pump fuse blowing is A: The wrong size fuse. B: there is a short in the power to the pump or C: the fuel pump is under too much strain either from bad bearings or too much pressure.

Most likely there is a short in the wire going from the fuse panel to the fuel sending unit. If this is an older car it is easy to check if you can safely get under the car. Follow the wire from the gas tank to the fuse panel and look for damage along the way
