Occasionally physical attraction, mental incapacity or an episode from their life that has had such profound effect upon them that they see it as ok or a requirement.

Many times it's the molester was once the one being molested as a child, by a trusted adult. Nobody knows why people molest children, any more than they know why a person is gay, or a necrophiliac. Sexual perversion is a little understood phenomena and there hasn't been a lot of devotion to research on the subject.
