Vinyl planks floor coverings need constant up keep. Constantly they peel and bow. The simple change in temperature will make the material stretch and shrink. Vinyl is not meant to take such abuse as what your floor takes. From your feet and that of your guest and if you have little people around then forget it.

This in inexpensive version of wood flooring. It is much easier to put down. The only draw back is you cannot resand the floor in the future to eliminate scratches.

They are very cheap and easy to install, but tend to slip and move over time. Good for a short-term fix, but not for a long-term floor solution.
