What can you tell me about the temperment of a dog that is a German Shepherd Chow mix?

This dog will be very protective as both breeds were breed as service type dogs. You can control aggressive behavior if you stop it from an early age and do not let children tease him.

We have a 7 yr old German Shepard/Chow mix, aside from being obnoxious cause he does not know how big he is, he is so smart, friendly and good with kids and other dogs. he is very protecive and would not hurt a fly, definitely reccommend one

Chows tend to only like one person. For example, they could like you, but at the same time hate your spouse and snip at them. It's a toss up. You can't really tell until your dog gets older what it will be like. Just teach it to be nice.

It largely depends on how the dog was raised. It is true that chows have a can be dog-aggressive, but very few are human- aggressive unless they've suffered neglect/abuse.

The combination of this two races in particular is a strange mix, the chow mix have a particular risk that consists in the security of home, that is why some companies doesnt give secure to this dogs even if they are a mix. Is recommendable to train the dog with a professional or yourself if you can.
