Stretch marks can interfere with already existing tattoos as well as making it difficult to get a new tattoo on the affected area. It's recommended that you use lotions and massage to try and soften the stretched area. This can also work as a preventive measure, if you are worried about getting stretch marks in the future.

The tattoo artist will have to stretch a person's skin that they are tattooing to make the needle glide easier on the skin. If you have stretch marks tattoos can cover that too.

When people age there skin can grow and shrink. This can cause a tattoo to distort or sag a little over time. Usually not that dramatically but it may be noticable.
