Pumpkins do best when grown from seed. Plant 3 seeds together and a few meters apart if growing many. Water them sparingly until the seedlings emerge to avoid rotting. They take a few weeks to get going, after that keep them watered. Cut the tendrils back at about 3 meters.

Pumpkins are actually grown in the summer. They are called a winter squash because they can be stored during the winter. They are a vine that needs a lot space.

Plant them as early as possible while still avoiding frost. Pumpkins take alot out of the soil, so they need alot of fertilizer. Lots of fertilizer.

Pumpkins are very fun to grow. You need good soil and plenty of water to grow good pumpkins. Most gardeners start their pumpkins from seed. You can score the seed with a file or sand paper to start the growing process. Once the pumpkins are growing, be sure they get plenty of sun, nutrients and water.
